man I’m never typing or saying the name of this movie even once, end of review.

  • Candyman

this shit was way more bonkers than I imagined damn.

  • Blue Collar

can’t believe I managed to watch 3 movies yesterday, that’s rare for a Monday.

this was my least favorite of the three. It was a phenomenal movie that covers some very important topics but I thought the story line was a bit jumbled. if you’re a Schrader fan give this a watch or if you have a strange urge for a movie about the life of Union workers give this a go. great performances all around but this one didn’t resonate with me like some of his other movies.

debating watching First Reformed later to close out this little Paul Schrader binge.

  • Election

I kept avoiding this because I can’t stand the movie poster, but I’m glad I finally caved. It’s a funny little story, with some nuanced humor.

  • The Comfort of Strangers

    this poor couple! why!!!?

I watched this specifically to have an aesthetically pleasing ‘last 4 watched’, but it ended up being pretty darn good.

  • Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar

    Their accents were sending me.

  • The Happiness of the Katakuris

    The Happiness of the Katakuris

stop staring at your Watchlist wondering what to watch, and throw on that one thing you keep avoiding, or throw on The Happiness of the Katakuris.

I was surprised to learn this is 20 years old as is seems like it could be newer. the music and colors are mesmerizing, the stop action sequences are welcome but slight off putting and the characters are great. I had no idea this was a musical in a way, there are certainly a few sing and dance sequences, that only elevate the film comedically.

this movie brings you through peaks and valleys and it’s a fun ride.

we’ll drink everyday, but like keep it chill.

  • Thief

    Michael Mann that was good.

I can’t be the only one who’s said this.

    also the soundtrack is insane.

  • Shadow of a Doubt

    Shadow of a Doubt

another excellent film by Hitchcock including his signature exponential build and climax.  I’d write more but my brains not really working today, it’s a holiday weekend.

  • Audition

maybe don’t heat up your dinner an hour and 25 minutes into this movie 🤢

  • Daniel Isn't Real

    Daniel Isn't Real

as the kids say WTF! tragic & scary wrapped in one and the result is a pretty fun ride. for a horror movie about mental illness this was done very well.

it was honestly a bit crazier than I expected. the other reviews mentioning some body horror are entirely accurate and it was quite disturbing. this is definitely not a light movie by any means, but if that sort of thing is your bag then I’d definitely give this a watch.

also Tubi hire me, I applied to like 3 different positions last night.
