Farewell FilmStruck – Film #30 out of 150
Here it is, the final film in my Farewell FilmStruck marathon, and although I didn't even come close to watching my entire Watchlist I feel as though the films I did watch within this period of time were completely worthy of that time. As of writing this, there are 19 minutes until FilmStruck discontinues service. And while I probably could fit in a few short films or something I am just going to stop here with this masterpiece. This reflection of time, childhood, and memories is a perfect film for this FilmStruck sendoff. Just like with Stalker, Tarkovsky displays some amazing visual composition. The film is meaningful and that is what makes it so great. The director clearly had a passion for this project and it is seen by how well the product here is.
