The hardest part about sequels is trying to capture either the same or a similar feel from one film to the next, or take what didn't work with the first picture, and improve upon what was done previously.

Certain franchises have been able to do that. My personal favorite film (Empire Strikes Back) is a sequel to a film that while beloved, has some flaws and some issues. Wrath of Khan for…

    Now, I liked this movie.

However, there are some issues. I'll get to those.

Casting: Spot on Casting with John David Washington. Robert Pattinson in several scenes, shows how he can pull off Bruce Wayne in The Batman, and has the action chops for it as well. Overall, this is a decent sequel to Excellent Adventure, but it suffers from some slow parts and lacks the charm and elements that made the original successful.

Plot/Cast Elements: Death is really what steals the show here, as William Sadler makes a great substitute for Rufus, which we don't see much of except in the beginning. Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves are more invested in their characters, but the plot elements of the future villain and the evil robots just…
