Brad’s review published on Letterboxd:
Probably one of the best horror movies of the 2010’s. I saw this in theaters opening weekend, and was immediately hooked from there. This one movie launched the Conjuring Universe and I’m so glad it did because I really do enjoy most, if not all, the movies considered as part of that universe. Patrick Wilson once again comes in and murders his role as Ed Warren, Vera Farmiga kills it as Lorraine Warren as well. But have great chemistry and are really into what they’re doing. Everyone involved was phenomenal. If I were to say anything remotely negative about this, is maybe Ron Livingston has got to up the emotion in some parts. He’s very monotone throughout certain scenes, but still does a great job. I really recommend anyone to watch this. It’s such a good time.
