Second viewing. This is as good as I remembered it to be. So many techniques and themes can already be spotted which Hitchcock would refine in next 10 years. It's stunted by the fact that it was made in the era when films were being transitioned from silent to talkies, but then it also uses sound innovatively more than once, especially the use of word 🔪.
