                    “You can be anything.”

It’s that simple, little, pink and white slogan we see and hear everywhere - the slogan that has contributed to making ‘Barbie’ (as a brand) such a household name. But what absolutely astounds me is how director, Greta Gerwig, has de-ken-structed and redefined this slogan, making one of the most kentertaining, provocative, philosophical, uproarious cinematic events of the past decade! Who would of thought that a live action ‘Barbie’…

“I am become death… the destroyer of worlds.”

It’s no lie that ‘Oppenheimer’ is an explosive achievement in the realm of film-making. I would go as far to say it’s utter technical brilliance - from the harrowing score, to the crisp cinematography, to the sharp dialogue, to the gripping performances. Christopher Nolan knows how to make a damn movie, and it’s this film, if anything, that solidifies him as the cinematic auteur he rightfully is.

    It’s the staggering cast that…

As I’m approaching the end of my teenage years, and finally shaping into the young adult I’m inevitably becoming, I’ve had this urge to try new things and break away from some of the formulaic aspects of my life. In a way, this had bled into the films I’ve watched and the genres I’ve begun to explore. Romance, as a genre, has never really stuck out to me, but after engrossing myself in something as unforgettable as ‘Before Sunrise’, it’s…

Rufus Griswold looks like a weird amalgamation of Christian Bale and Ben Affleck, it’s actually uncanny. I cannot believe Michael Trucco is real guy - the resemblance made me think they used some kind of face-mixing CGI, but no, that’s too far-fetched; he’s a living breathing human that so happens to look like a Batman love-child. Please tell me I am not the only one who was absolutely perplexed over this - I cannot un-see it.

    One. Last. Ride.

‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’ is the darkest, most visceral, tear-jerking MCU instalment yet, and I genuinely mean this… it’s fucking perfection (the movie had an f-bomb… it’s only necessary I drop one too). The best in the trilogy; the best since ‘Avengers: Endgame’; the best of James Gunn’s filmography - I don’t know about you guys, but after watching this, I’m hooked on a feeling.

As a longtime Marvel fan, the past three years have…

Dogs were pashed, and dogs were… sucked (please, that sounds awful without context). God, these were some horny demons.

Well guys, I’m glad to say it… A24 has done it (yet) again - at this point, should we even be surprised? Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou’s captivating directorial debut, ‘Talk To Me’, will rightfully have everyone talking. With its inventive bone-chilling concept, idiosyncratic thematic approach, and non-stop visceral storytelling, this phenomenal piece of indie cinema has the potential to gain the acclaim, appreciation,…
