Roma ★★★★½

It is clear how directly personal Roma is to Alfonso Cuarón. To reveal into the big screen his perception of the Mexico he grew up in . This story, taking place in the 70s through the perspective of a Maid of a middle class family during the Mexican era of political turmoil, Cleo, says so much in the most silent frames. In the time where it was very common for fathers to be absent, the Mothers make decisions for the family and try to make the most of their situation is a very heartbreaking never ending story that remains true to this day. Personally, apart from the beach scene, the last hopsital scene really left me broken. Roma is a film that will stay in my mind for days.
