Bob Mackey’s review published on Letterboxd:
Saw the Final Cut in a theater, which was my first Blade Runner experience. Great production design and direction (obviously), but most of the movie sticks us with the least interesting character who Ford only knows how to play with two different shades of grumpy. Would have preferred this story told through the Replicants’ point of view, since they’re the most compelling characters who have actual stakes—and Roy Batty really steals the show.
This is for .03% percent of the people who read this but I actually like Snatcher more because it has actual world building. There, I said it.
