Bob Hovey’s review published on Letterboxd:
Beautifully-photographed New Zealand post-apocalyptic film suffers a bit from its low budget but not much... in fact it's a great lesson on how to do a lot with a little. What we have here is a modest gem of a film that focuses on the characters and the effects of living on an empty planet. It's not without conflict (no zombies or anything like that, it's something of a scientific nature), but that's not what drives the story... it's mostly a quiet tale about normal people. Sound dull? It isn't... I don't think I can remember a TEOTWAWKI film that's done such a nice job of putting me in the story and allowing me to identify with the characters. It's a shame this one isn't better known.
