Robbie’s review published on Letterboxd:
Lived up to the hype for me. Lakeith Stanfield and Daniel Kaluuya were both incredible in this. In truth though, the entire ensemble was great in this. This is the first film by Shaka King I have seen, and of new directors I've watched from 2020, he ties with Andrew Patterson (The Vast of Night) for me in creating an original and memorable film. I really don't want to get into too much about this movie and spoil it, but if you don't know the true story then please do yourself a favor and don't research any of it.
I will definitely be watching this again before it leaves HBO Max and depending on how things go I might try to watch this in theaters so I can get the cinematic experience.
