Houston Coley’s review published on Letterboxd:
Now this is the excellence I was hoping for with the first movie. The amount which this is better, funnier and more creative than the original is wild. Easily the most insane sequel, ever, maybe? Even just in the amount of crazy sets and costumes and creatures and visual gags, it’s so off-the-hook and spans so much territory in so little time; I really felt like I’d been on a crazy adventure - a bogus journey, one might venture to say. Every time you resign yourself to knowing where the story is going, it swerves in another weirder direction. I cannot fathom the stupidity and bizarreness of some of the stuff I witnessed here. This might be what movies were made for.
