Blake Tucker’s review published on Letterboxd:
Forget Godzilla vs. Kong, Barb & Star should be the movie of the summer! This is camp to the fullest extent; it is joy, and it is stupidity at its best. It felt like a cut for time SNL skit on acid in the best possible way. Hardly do SNL skits-turned-movies ever work out, but I think this one does because they did it in the inverse way, giving the jokes the most absolute room to manifest themselves. This would make for the perfect closing to a marathon of Hot Rod and McGruber as this was meant to be watched among friends, all yelling the jokes back at the screen as they occur in the movie. I’m giving it a 3.5, but in my heart I know it’s a 5.
