There’s something truly special about Aftersun. It’s poignant & powerful. It’s raw & honest. It’s happy & sad. It’s beautiful.

Few films have had a more accurate read of life’s struggles & the constant reevaluation of them through time. Fractured memories are endlessly unpacked & unravelled as we try to understand & make peace with them.

It's the terror of knowing what this world is about.
Watching some good friends screaming, “Let me out!”

Would we be able to help if we knew someone’s suffering? Could we help? All that we can do is try to understand & try to find love through the anger we may have.

Can't we give ourselves one more chance?
Why can’t we give love that one more chance?

Broken people can sometimes have the most love. And that can be a painful thing. The silent sufferer is often willing to lay it all down for the ones they love. But sometimes we can’t end that suffering. And if we can’t, can we learn to forgive? Though we may bask in our grief, that is forever through love. After all, grief is love.

The people on the edge of the night
And love dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves
This is our last dance
This is our last dance
This is ourselves
