Replace ★★★

A very stylishly shot science fiction body horror story that ends perhaps a little too over-the-top gory for its own sake but otherwise has a great impact with its unreliable narrator seemingly drifting through her existence, not remembering crucial events of her past and trying desperately to fight a creative skin disease.

Definitely worth a watch, if only for the intergenerational lesbian relationship that's at the core of the story but which it is fortunately never specifically about. The characters happen to be that way and that's really the most authentic form of inclusion you can wish for in film.
