Well-crafted. But I just never need to see another Pinocchio adaptation ever again. ENOUGH.

Blonde 2022
This entire movie feels like it just exists to humiliate Marilyn Monroe. And it presents this theory that all women are defined by their relationships to men in their lives, and if those relationships aren't good, the women must obviously be crazy. Holy shit I knew some of the discourse around this film but I had no idea how shitty it all really is.
Also, even without its offensiveness, it's just technically bad. Edited choatically. Some beautiful shots but bizarre…

The Old Man & the Gun 2018
And y’all said the rom com is dead!
Sissy Spacek is luminous here.
I would happily let Robert Redford steal all of my stuff if it made him happy.

Rocky IV 1985
OK this one lost me a little bit. Stallone's ego is in full swing here. Really hated what this movie does to Apollo Creed's character...just completely unnecessary. But I still had some fun with this and, with the current landscape of world politics, I enjoyed how anti-Russian and pro-USA this movie is. I definitely just have a love and soft spot for this whole franchise now.
Ivan Drago...another great name.

Rocky III 1982
So many montages...and I enjoyed all of them. Very different than the previous installments in the franchise and I liked that the structure changed. The character of Rocky feels a little abandoned here in place of Stallone's ego, but that's fine as it fits the narrative. Yeah, still a good, fun time.
Rocky Balboa...incredible movie name.
Apollo Creed...one of the best names in cinema
Clubber Lang...what happened here?
