Roma is an epic masterpiece told through visually and verbally compelling spirits. I’m so glad this won Best Picture, no other film (maybe The Favorite) came close to this. Amazing cinematography, production design, performances (especially the main woman who’s name I’ve forgotten), direction and script. But also, THE SOUND. This film had a very natural approach, especially with the visuals. Alfonso Cuarón is a modern Kubrick and he needs to be appreciated more than he already is!!! Some scenes are heartbreaking, others joyful, and others tragic and disturbing.
In short, Roma is possibly in the top 5 best films of the 2010s, so yeah, I think it’s decent.
