    The Menu

A very satisfying and thrilling watch. I'm glad it never got to a point where it took itself too seriously. Quite the story and presentation for a movie that takes place in one location. Really liked all the different characters, and the food descriptions alone deserve a ton of praise!

  • But I'm a Cheerleader

    But I'm a Cheerleader

I remember catching this on IFC way back in the day. I had fond memories, but on rewatching it it just didn't add up. It's not an awful movie, but more quirky than funny.

  • Hunt for the Wilderpeople

    Hunt for the Wilderpeople

A feel good movie with fun accents. Why wouldn't you want to watch it?

  • Children of the Corn

    Children of the Corn

I haven't ever actually sat down and watched this beginning to end before. What the fuck is up with this movie? It feels like a joke. CAMPY. Yeah, I said it. OK so not so much campy, but very dull. The scary moments don't work because they got the goofiest looking kid actors, the setting is about as boring as one could get, and I'm just not sure the adult actors hearts were really in it. Feels like a forced sausage at a time when King movies were securing that built in audience.

  • City of God

    City of God

It's one of those movies that feels more like something you experience rather than watch. The way everything in the movie feels and looks so genuine. What a feat. And a great story. The documentary of the true events that's on the DVD is amazing as well.

  • V/H/S

Not a fair rating as the wife made us turn it off halfway through because she said the shaky cam was giving her a headache. I didn't resist, just said I hadn't been bothered. But the truth is it was giving me a headache, I was just willing to deal with it in order to finish what we had started. I am an idiot.

  • Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie

Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie

It's pretty straightforward adult swim humor. Has some really good bits, a few moments are lacking. But I 💯% will forever suggest this movie based solely on Tequito. Hands down, one of my favorite characters ever.

  • Sky High

    Sky High

Why I ever watched this in the first place, I'll never know. But I'm glad I did because it's a rare gem- a good kids movie. Come to think of it, I think I just caught it playing on the Disney Channel one time. Not interesting at all, hmm.

  • 10 Things I Hate About You

10 Things I Hate About You

It's so magical it feels like it was never actually filmed or planned, just God came down from Heaven and said here, watch this every 4 or 5 years to remember what a simple good movie is like. We are so blessed.

  • Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves

    Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves

Not too often the 3rd installment in a franchise turns out to be the best. Perhaps in trilogies more so than anything that goes longer? But there were more "Honey," movies after this right? Like I'm sure there's some straight to DVD bullshit that had to have come out at some point, right? But like, even with trilogies, still not many where number 3 is best. Can't think of any thing. Some might argue Star Wars, not that anyone would…

  • Knock at the Cabin

    Knock at the Cabin

Looks like our good friend M Night is on the up after this one. His careers been scarred in recent years by jumping on that Super Hero wagon train like a moron and making me mad in the process. And after watching Old I was wondering if we were witnessing the end of an Era. But with this one he makes a swing and hit despite still having to put himself on screen as if we weren't all waiting for…

  • Harbinger Down

    Harbinger Down

A well done effort at making a Sci fi horror thriller. Story is cool, and I'm a fan of the setting as well. It gets into slightly less interesting territory as it goes on but a fun ride.
