I think American Psycho is actually a fairly good comp to use when describing this movie. While Beau is more outwardly comedic, both films attempt to go so far down the path of the disturbing and uncomfortable that it loops around to the other end of the spectrum and becomes funny. Pretty funny! Samberg has something that I think really bridges the gap between the mid/late 00s Judd Apatow type humor and the modern TikTok/insta reel humor that appears to have killed the comedy feature film.

John Wick: Chapter 2 2017
Significant upgrade from the first. Other than the stunts and action being great what I really like about this is how it depends the world of this criminal hitman empire and establishes this cool code of conduct that's there in the first one but this expands it a lot.
