This movie really just had sex scenes pop out of nowhere and then a very brutal SA scene that felt so out of place in the movie. 

I haven’t read the book, but I feel like they adapted it way too closely. The dialogue in spots felt off and then gave no room for Daisy Edgar-Jones to cook. 

This might as well have been a lifetime movie in some spots. But you can tell they just wanted to capitalize on the success of the book.
