First foray into Curtis and for some reason I chose his most daunting jaunt. Incredibly impressive and while I'm not sold on everything he has to say his general thesis is 100% spot on. And even when he makes a questionable leap in logic he is at the very least compelling. Was not ready for the stellar needle drops.
Would recommend.
So this was only on my radar because Emma Ruth Rundle did the score, which was good. It's flawed for sure but overall I rather liked this. Yargos lathimos lite. Black dry comedy with a generally aloof tone. The plot is a familiar enough concept but the film is entirely uninterested in asking any big existential, ethical, or philosophical questions which in itself is kind of a refreshing twist for this kind of story. Best Aaron Paul performance post-BrBa.
