    The Little Mermaid

Lin seems to have me in a grip, like in my eyes, everything he touches turns into gold. I like the three new songs he wrote for this. The one where the crab spat some bars is really appreciated as it gave a jolt of energy where it was needed.

I am team Bailey and King for life. Seeing them onscreen together was like seeing a fairy tale come to life for real. It's their palpable chemistry on Kiss the Girl that sells their relationship to me. They paired so well together that it's almost like when the movie ends, you'll crave more of them.

  • Army of Darkness

    Army of Darkness

I watched it while not in the right headspace: tired and distracted. A scene from the movie reminded me of an episode from Spongebob Squarepants. I'm too forgetful to remember if it's a direct reference to this film, but I feel strongly that it is.

  • Evil Dead II

    Evil Dead II

I was angry because a friend of mine showed me the final shot of the movie to my face mere days before I decide to press play. What’s crazy to me was that I knew he has zero interest to see the movie himself. It was just pure cruelty and vile. But I have made peace of it. Besides, if something evil occurred to you when you are on an Evil Dead marathon it just adds to the experience.

the person who proposed the idea to convey the product placement scene as shown in the movie deserves a raise

  • tick, tick...BOOM!

    tick, tick...BOOM!

'tick tick boom' resonates with me in terms of capturing the state of my mind. especially one where I often feel like something is going way too late in my life and the inevitable feeling of being so lacking in myself. how Netflix positioned this movie at the end of the year basically encapsulates a chapter of my life in 2021. I can't stop saying that this movie slaps. it reminds us to see that living is not necessarily just…

All Too Well: The Short Film

I love Nocturnal Animals (2016). So happy to see how it made an impact five years later

  • Mare of Easttown

    Mare of Easttown

I came for the murder mystery but stayed for the people of Easttown.

I really love how the show managed to give the side character time to shine without letting loose our grip on Mare's journey of self-acceptance and moving forward from grief. There are a lot of red herrings scattered throughout the show which provides some opportunities for the side cast to flesh out their character.

I feel like the show is more interested to tell how Mare is…
