A cesspool floating around the bottom of the bathtub, slowly drained away by those appearing as common people and like a moth to the light seeking the shinny things, unrealistic to most unless your willing to sacrifice your humanity to get down right disturbed with it.
Emerald Fennell’s utterly depraved, erotic, often brilliantly bizarre, yet funny gothic fantasy is as beautifully shot as it is stunningly acted, so while not as thought-provoking as her first feature, Saltburn still leaves an unrelentingly uncomfortable dance across its murdered patriarchal dance floor brought down by one freak and his weird little dream. Iconic.
