Benjamin Green’s review published on Letterboxd:
This film has eluded me for 11 years but finally I've taken the opportunity to watch this and tick it off my list.
16 years on from Once Upon a Time in the West Sergio Leone returned with Ennio Morricone to provide the perfect send off and remind the world what a talent we would all be missing. Theres too much to love here; the score is sublime whilst the direction is on point helping you forget the 3 hour 49 minute run time. The film patiently moves through three time periods as we catch up with the two leads Robert De Niro and James Woods characters; two friends but two very different people who inevitably clash
Whilst not my favourite Leone film, gangster film or De Niro film this is still a historic film that demands attention of any aspiring film buff.
