    Angels with Dirty Faces

    "Whaddya hear? Whaddya say?"

Recommended to me by one of my father figures to watch as soon as possible. He puts this movie up there with The Godfather and bought a DVD for me to watch. This movie might be one of my favorite classic movies!

'Angels with Dirty Faces' is a brilliant movie by director Michael Curtiz in the era of the late 1930s. The cast is strong throughout the film. James Cagney was nominated for an Oscar for…

    The Batman

"Vengeance won't change the past. Mine or anyone else's. People need hope." – Batman (Robert Pattinson), from 'The Batman'

🤯 I love this movie; my mind is blown! Honestly, I was skeptical about going into the theater to see the next installment of a Batman movie with the DC library. However, now I can not stop thinking about the complexity and force of Batman. Last night, I went to the theater with my son and a friend and got home…

    Humor Me

    Fascinating line.

"I think when you fall in love with someone, you're partially falling in love with the person they are at that moment, and partially with the person you hoped they would become. Maybe I let her down in that regard. She kind of gave up on the potential me." - Nate Kroll (Jemaine Clement)

  • A Raisin in the Sun

    A Raisin in the Sun

'A Raisin in the Sun' is a masterpiece and classic movie that I believe everyone should see. When Walter Lee (Sidney Poitier) reaches for his son, Travis, in front of the Home Owners Association man, and says, "This...is my son.." it made my eyes tear up, as he found the strength to teach his son, honor his family, and become the man he was born to be. I had goosebumps for days. The struggle in this movie is painful and…

  • Twilight

I am watching this Twilight series with my wife. Love is a strange thing.

This entry is my second time watching this movie. Things I noticed again: So much staring. Diamond skin. Tree running. Baseball. Blue-tones like in the series Ozark. More staring. And wait, did Edward say to Bella, "You're like my personal brand of heroin."?

I remember when she used to look at me like this.

P.S. I also asked my daughter if she wanted to watch the series with us, and she responded by saying, "No, I am good. All that Twilight is, it is about a girl thirsting after vampires and werewolves."

🏠The same house in all three stories that share the common thread of dread. Amazing stop-motion. So unsettling. So artistically done.

  • The Tender Bar

    The Tender Bar

I loved this movie. I can relate to Ben Affleck’s character Uncle Charlie as the father figure offering advice. I think he is brilliant in this role. I found this journey of J.R. to be close to so many in life & my own journey; searching for identity, dealing with the father & family wounds, abandonment, relationships, search for love, and career. Find your purpose. It is a story of what most people go through. It is heartwarming and grounded in the…

I’m so late to watching this short film on the evils of ivory poaching that funds terrorism. Powerful and intentional documentary to shine light on darkness.
