I need weekly feature length films of these guys causing each other pain. Genuinely fascinating to learn that Jackass Forever is the movie with the most dicks in this history of cinema.

    Andy Summers

★★★★ Watched by Andy Summers 22 May 2022

Cattle Empire stars Joel McCrea as a former trail boss who's recently been released from prison after serving five years. His return to the town of Hamilton, where his men shot up the town and caused chaos, is greeted with anger and retribution dished out by townsfolk who remember that night five years before. McCrea's John Cord barely escapes a lynching, and is dragged by a horse down the main street before the powerful Ralph Hamilton has him released. Hamilton,…

"T-E-R-R-O-R beyond the power of priest or science to exorcise!"

    Plot:
In something that could only happen in Canada, a doctor comes to the conclusion that people are too far away from their animalistic nature for their own good, so for the sake of humanity, he invents a part parasite part STD type creature that makes its host into an insatiable sex maniac. (This has already been set into motion at the start of the film.)
    Now a doctor (The…

Hidden agendas, conniving rich people, and a genuinely despicable group of people make for a ripe scene of a crime.

While not my favorite Altman film comprising of an ensemble and I owe it to Julian Fellow's boner for the aristocrats, there's a lot of well-done moments in the film that build you up to genuinely believe anybody in the room could be the murderer and that the victim is so abhorrent that who genuinely cares and that was built…

  • Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter 1984

    Chance

    ★★★★ Watched by Chance 24 May 2022

A masterpiece in the Friday the 13th pantheon, finally bringing together all the elements that makes the series so iconic. The key is Tom Savini's grand return to the series, upping the gruesome effects to the max, and Joseph Zito's finely-suspensful direction. Crispin Glover adds to the fun, as well.

Side Note: I like to think the dog just peaced out and was adopted by a loving family. 💜

I had no idea when I put it in and was texting through the opening credits, so I was very surprised to find out I was watching my first OJ Simpson movie. Definitely had my strict attention thereafter.

As for the movie itself - no idea how I didn’t know there was a 70’s Hyams’ conspiracy thriller with Elliott Gould where we faked a Mars landing -  but given that information I would’ve assumed 5 stars and turns out I would’ve been correct!

One of the first things you notice about Kirk Douglas is his physicality, he was as fit as a butcher's dog during his Hollywood heyday. He arguably made his name playing the boxer Midge Kelly in Champion, back in 1949, but Douglas had bigger plans than simply being a star, he wanted it all. Forming Bryna Productions at the end of the 1940's, Douglas fancied himself as a producer and a director, although he only directed two films during his…

The House That Dripped Blood 1971

    threepenny

    ★★ Watched by threepenny 23 May 2022

First off, Ingrid Pitt would've made a great Doctor Who companion for Jon Pertwee's doctor. As it stood, though, we had to wait until 1984 and Nicola Bryant to see that much cleavage on the show. Pertwee was pretty sure he was in a comedy, here, and no one seems to have told him otherwise. Peter Cushing, meanwhile, in his linen suit and ascot, cuts a Byronesque figure walking along the streets and canals of a small town and watching…

A riveting look into the tormented mindset of the people's princess ... in this fable of a true tragedy.

"For the good of the country ... Of the country? ... Yes, the people. Because they don't want us to be people. That's how it is. I'm sorry, I thought you knew. So please, stick to the list as it is written, in the order that it is written."

Wow, Director Pablo Larraín is sure developing a knack for making incredible…

Godzilla VS Hedorah is certainly one of the most unique Godzilla movies ever made. This movie is full of so many bizarre wtf moments that I kind of love it!

I have been a Godzilla fan my entire life and this movie made me smile the entire time I was watching it. Godzilla, King Ghidorah, Mothra and Rodan all looked incredible. They all had a great amount of personality and their fights were incredibly fun to watch. The human characters were fine. The score by Bear McCreary was amazing. The final shot in this movie is absolute perfection! I am definitely going to see this again this weekend.

Think about it. They defeated the greatest power in the world in a couple days. Walked right over us. And these were only the first. They'll keep coming. This is not a war any more than there's a war between men and maggots... This is an extermination.

War of the Worlds is one of Steven Spielberg's most underrated movies. This movie has stuck with me ever since if first saw it. It has been a few years since I last…
