Tom Cruise has been in back to back movies that have reminded me why I love action films. This is thrilling from start to finish. Including that brilliant cold open it starts with. Christopher McQuarrie really drew upon the classics like Buster Keatons The General for a lot of the action. Cannot wait for part 2.

Movies that feel like an adrenaline ride & give me goosebumps are the best. Throw in some nostalgia & you’ve got me. This is a hardcore “dad film” which isn’t bad because this kicked ass from start to finish.

The casting department did a great job. Glen Powell is just one example, but he was the perfect fit for the “cocky pilot”.

    An absolute great theater experience.

There will be many rewatchs in the future.

    My wife gave it 5/5

The acting in May December was phenomenal, but the standout was without a doubt Natalie Portman. Other than the acting this felt very melodramatic. Almost like a high end soap opera. It wasn’t bad, just wasn’t my favorite film of the year.

I was pretty disappointed with this. It felt like it had some potential, the cast was great as was the director but it fell short of the mark. I don’t know if it was the script or the direction but it just didn’t work.

The one word to describe Ford V. Ferrari is exhilarating. Those racing scenes really pull you in and don’t let you breathe till it’s over. Bale and Damon are great together and it’s a shame that they’re running against each other in the best actor category. The supporting cast is awesome too.

Yeah, that’s an Aaron Sorkin script. This was so engaging it just flew by. Fantastic editing and acting, everyone put in their best performance. I honestly could of just restarted it right when it ended.
