Kay: Did you do it?
Me rooting for Michael: 😐
Yes, this is a masterpiece. Everything from the acting to the blocking to the cinematography and score is masterfully crafted. I mean this is a movie starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino, of course it’s great. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star is because some parts didn’t grip me in, but that was maybe my fault not the films. Let’s see what part 2 has to offer.
I spent a good portion of the movie trying to put together the bits and pieces to make sense of it, but are we not really supposed to? We are in Anthony’s mind and we should just embrace his turmoil and get in his shoes. As the film progressed the tension and despair in Anthony’s mind escalated; it hits you...it’s very powerful. I felt like a little kid, along with Anthony, in the end and was brought to tears.
