Thanks to a recent surgery, I now literally have a plate of titanium in my skull, officially making me the #1 fan of Titane. Imma go get freaky with my neighbors Ford Firebird. Love is a dog from hell. I miss you, Dad.

Talk to Me 2022
Much better than I’d expected, and delivers a lot more than what the trailers tease. Less a horror movie and more a stomach churning expression of grief that is just pure hopeless misery. Really fucking well done and holy shit Sophie Wilde is phenomenal. A little narratively convenient at times, and most of the kids suck, but damn if it wasn’t a wild freaking time. That ending.

Detention 2019
The worst kind of ghost - a fascist! Silent Hill but politically charged - truly. I knew very little about the “white period” of Taiwan and this was a fascinating way to address it. Much more complex and emotionally charged than I’d anticipated - I was truly on the edge of my seat. This is a MEATY horror movie. I fucking loved it. Also that score bangs.
