Where the Crawdads Sing

Where the Crawdads Sing ★★½

So this wasn’t as bad as I’d been hearing but my biggest problem with it is that it felt so cold. The book is so warm, and close and you really feel for Kya and you spend her isolation with her, and I get you’re on a time crunch when dealing with book adaptations but you don’t get to know her heart at all in this, it’s way too focused on everyone else and everything happening around here. The book is so much quieter and the murder case is almost a total side note.
