  Bringing Out the Dead 1999

  "You have to keep the body going until the brain and the heart recover enough to go on their own."

  This underwatched Scorsese movie brings a lot to the table and definitely is one of, if not his most interpretative and surreal work. A bleak and at times horrifying depiction of an exhausted, sleepless, paramedic struggling to continue working in the most populous city in the country.
