YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
robert eggers? that's my GUY. every single time i'm absorbed by his approach to myth. in this, it's so fascinating what amleth inherits, the burden of fulfilling his father's myth, becoming his own, defined by this shattering loss ("ive never felt close to anyone") that's only made whole in the glory of death by blade. i wish anya got a bit more depth and im curious what the film couldve been had he stayed on the boat, but then we wouldn't have gotten the gates of hell scene and πππ on another note, nicole kidman forever and always and the LIGHTS FLICKERING???! dude... DUDE!
