This movie was very hard for me to think about the first time I watched it. This time I was able to appreciate it much more. I’m not a fan of how often male filmmakers punish and abuse their female characters for no real reason. I didn’t like watching the scenes with that sort of violence at all. However, I can’t say it was pointless. I can appreciate everything this movie does. Certainly not my favorite from lynch but I do understand the hype. Maybe I’m a robin and this movie is the gross bug I secretly like to chew on.
