As much as I love a transformative performance, sometimes a role an actor was born to play hits so well, and maybe because this feels like a Alan Partridge prequel, Steve Coogan pulls in a cracking performance.

Control being possibly one of my favourite biopics the first half of this felt like a primitive predecessor, that being said this films overall charm and chaos really did win me over.

The film is made with the same d.i.y style as the…

    When Harry Met Sally...

A joke to start this would actually detract from how absolutely blown away I was at this film. A masterpiece in script writing and directing. Ephron and Reiner made movie magic with this. It’s basically Annie Hall without the bad taste in your mouth.

Nora Ephron’s script is just jaw to the flaw amazing, natural dialogue that’s thought provoking and just constantly hilarious. Developing depths of the main characters with such subtlety and solid supporting characters that contrast Harry and…

I’m all shook up, as I’ve left the cinema throughly entertained by this extremely messy film.

Starting of with the tremendous, I couldn’t help but fall in love with Austin Butler’s transformation into Elvis, captured the man so well in a performance that will define this young stars career.

Just like Rocketman, if you’re nailing elements of a biopic, it has to be costume and each garment dictates Elvis’ position in the story. Some of them one pieces will always…

    ★★★½

So I do really like Bo Burnham but something about his format of ‘here’s something horribly self indulgent but it’s fine cause I’m gonna make a joke about it at the end’ is like saying “no offence” after saying you wanna physically assault my mam

If this is the LGBTQ+ army that trump warned us about SIGN ME UP.

The O.G. Top Gun maybe a horrific dumpster fire and I was so skeptical going into this despite the rave reviews and well, I have never been more glad to be wrong.

Exhilarating and emotional, hand on heart this movie has that thing block buster have been missing for about 40 years. Seriously to itself yet playful by design.

You can see how much this means…
