Little Women 2019
I have been a media/film student from the age 14 to 22 and the biggest question that follows me is ‘WhATs YoUr FaVoURiTe FiLm?’ It’s a really hard question to answer. Is a favourite film a film that makes you smile the most? You can watch the most? You enjoy the most? Makes you feel the most? Something about Tom Cruise being the lead makes this so much more interesting, knowing what his future stance on cults would be. Amazingly shot as expected but what got me was the masks, the direction of the actors to not only show emotion but to able able to tell the story like that whilst not being able to use their face was outstanding.

Lolita 1962
What can you really say about this picture that won’t get you thrown in prison?
This being the earliest Kubrick film have seen to date I find it amazingly impressive how he was establishing him let as a provocateur so early on in his career by presenting a situation that is not exactly kosher to put it lightly.
The audience member is tormented to a degree with this problematic characters in even more problematic situations and you constantly ask yourself…
