I just rewatched it on the quest to show my father all the Marvel films, and figured it'd be time to write a little review for it.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is interesting because I absolutely love a lot of the movie, but then I think back on it and realize that there isn't *too* much that happened and it was mainly just really cool moments surrounded by jokes, some of which were really funny, others fell completely flat.

I loved what they did with Groot and Yondu in this movie, and those two made the movie as good as it is. Their scenes are consistently the funniest, but they also gave me the most emotions. Kicking Groot around was about the saddest thing I've seen in years.

Anyways, my favorite moment was probably the moment where Starlord found out Ego killed his mother. Such an incredibly powerful moment that completely got me the first time around, and then did again the second time around.

A solid second and third favorite are Yondu's funeral and Yondu killing everyone on the ship. Both were just really.. satisfying.

All in all I really like Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 2, but I didn't like it enough to really find it a great movie either. A lot of the jokes fell flat for me, and even though I really like the idea of all the characters fighting both Ego and ego, I thought the story could've been worked out a little better.

Still a really fun movie, but I just couldn't give it the 4 stars I gave the first one.
