just like….so vapid? themes of class divide and indulgence and duplicity are present but not threaded in with realized character development or actual INTERESTING motivations. just could’ve been so much more than it is and reads as a lesser version of much better works (eg talented mr ripley) through the lens of a discount xavier dolan.

just suuuuuch a terrifying dissection of being Black in america and the white oppressor’s hand. so deft in its metaphysical representation of silencing, and so good in all technical aspects jordan peele you are a mastermind!!

a bit on the nose at times but emma stone turns a STUNNING performance that carries the film through its more monotonous moments. very funny and beautifully made.

um…i kinda hate this? anne is very beautiful though

this was bad and i think they should make more of these movies to compensate 😁

a gorgeous trance of a film, refracting hollywood’s machinations through a melodramatic, twisted lens then flipping the script abruptly. identity, perspective and performance intermingle in a really free way here; the film is a challenging watch but each moment plays out so clearly like a recorded memory or waking up from a dream that it’s enjoyable just to succumb to the rhythm lynch paces it at.

i had a really good time with this one but the masses (atmika and muskan) did not enjoy it 💔

deliberately soundtracking each death with diegetic music is insane. there is someone….walking behind youuuuu

the introversion the closely guarded emotions the daydreaming the finding safety in your room and pouring out emotions in writing and accepting self-subjected invisibility because it’s easier than the pain of being seen and known AHHHHHHHHH she’s in my head.
