3 films into this series and the quality is still up there. This film really set the tone for Freddy's character. Up until this point, he was pretty serious, but now he adds more humor. Freddy starts messing with everyone has great one-liners. This movie expands on the mythology by diving into Freddy's origins. Heather Langenkamp and John Saxon are back, which is great. The makeup and effects are top notch.
