Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

    ★★★½

In this Terry Gilliam cult classic, we follow journalist Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp) and his attorney Dr. Gonzo (Benicio Del Toro) as they travel to Las Vegas from L.A. on more than enough drugs to kill several horses.

A deviant mix of comedy and horror, John Landis was clearly grinning his entire way through dire ting this movie. Alongside groundbreaking prosthetic effects and some genuinely chilling sound design, An American Werewolf laughs and howls it's way through the monster movie genre.
