The first half of this movie is really good. I forgot I was watching a Marvel movie and thought I was actually watching a real movie. 

The second half isn’t nearly as good, especially the final act. Falls prey to the messy monster army and big cgi creatures with no real relevance.

The first half is a good character movie, full of emotion and really fun moments. The ending seemed to forget all of that and what should be the emotional climax is overshadowed by the gratuitous monster action.

Still a good movie though, just didn’t quite live up to its potential.
