Across the Spider-Verse has the greatest understanding of coming-of-age, the limitlessness of what animation can convey, and most importantly the greatest understanding of Spider-Man; wrapped together in a beautiful comic strip package that oozes with abstraction and kept my eyes glued to every detail it gives the audience to dissect and appreciate. For real some revolutionary filmmaking right here, the only complaint I have for this 140 minute masterpiece is that it still wasn’t long enough and I wish some plot points building up were solved within this movie, but if that means more story to tell for Beyond the Spider-Verse then count. me. in.

Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022
Every now and then there comes a movie that reminds me why I love film and going to the movies, but only on a blue moon do we get a film that makes me feel as if I’m experiencing EVERYTHING I love about cinema ALL AT ONCE. The most therapeutic experience of my entire life and it’s in a movie where Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis are gay hotdog finger people. Sounds about right.
