My Neighbor Totoro is a ton of fun to watch. It will never get old, no matter how many times I see it. There is a smile on my face pretty much the entire time. It's just such a cute film, an excellent one for everyone to enjoy.
Mei is a very upbeat little girl, very happy. She is also very curious, following the little Totoros around and just exploring everywhere around their new house. All she really wants is for her mom to be able to come and see this ‘haunted’ house and just be with all of them.. She is devastated when her mom can’t come home that weekend because she was so excited to give her the corn that she picked just for her and to show her around their house and everything. She also wants to be like her sister, in just what she does and everything by copying her. I love Mei’s character, she’s just so cute. And as granny says she really is “a little ball of energy”
Satsuki, she feels she almost has to be grown up. Because their mother is in the hospital so she has to look after her sister more. She also seems stronger and not as upset that her mom can't come home because again Mei looks up to her and I think that she doesn't want to appear as sad as she really is. She is also just a fun character overall.. I like all these characters in this film.
This film is amazing
