hmm this was one of my most anticipated movies of the year and i did have fun but it felt a little lacklustre? like its 2 hours long but most of the action happens so quickly and in such a short window of time that it feels a bit underwhelming :/ mia goth is a star though and i think shes the future of cinema and i am in love with her peace and love on planet earth

this was fun! a little shallow, but still an enjoyable trip down memory lane... also i love teen movies so i might be a little bit biased. i want fairuza balk to narrate everything from now on

  • The Cloud in Her Room

    The Cloud in Her Room

i’m a sucker for slow movies about loneliness—it comforts me seeing somebody else leaning on a table after a night out with friends, when the night has dwindled into something sticky and you feel sleep tugging at your bones. sticking their head out of a car just to feel the night breeze. smoking. walking around with the wind howling in your ears the whole time. absolutely beautiful

found this insane little movie whilst looking through netflix’s catalog and honestly i really liked it… i’m kind of still reeling from all the things that happen in 85 minutes but it’s good. french people you are so good at making fucked up movies ❤️

  • Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

so funny that i chose this as my first movie of the year since i make fun of this guy so much but i had a good time and that’s all that matters. so much happens here but also so little? also it’s super messy at times? and tim roth was supposed to be in it but got cut? but anyway my favourite scene was when a bunch of teenagers yelled at brad pitt to fuck off for like two minutes. also timothy olyphant looked really hot but what’s new

  • Don't Look Up

    Don't Look Up

ok so this was very ugly to look at (pretty sure it’s the over saturation) and some parts were truly laughable (does ariana know that she’s playing a parody of herself? is she metaphorically winking at us like “see how self aware i am?” i don’t know, it felt like a dumb decision though) but the performances were phenomenal (mark rylance was SO good omg). all in all though it feels like the kind of movie that pats itself on the back with its social commentary and also a huge oscar bait so yeah 3 stars
