considering today’s date this felt very appropriate :) fun! i looove corny 80s slashers and all their stupidity so much <3

  • The Watermelon Woman

    The Watermelon Woman

this is genuinely a perfect movie and it devastes me that it isnt easy at all to find on the internet... i would do anything for a criterion restoration </3 everyone deserves to see this in all its glory

  • Swiss Army Man

    Swiss Army Man

first of all i have to say that i am madly in love with paul dano and that was the main reason i chose to watch this movie tonight. second i knew it was a silly comedy where he befriends farting corpse daniel radcliffe so i was like yeah why not. well 1h40m later i have tears streaming down my face thinking about how life is short and no one deserves to ride the bus alone. they were in LOVE

  • Mulholland Drive

    Mulholland Drive

had to consult five different websites to Understand this but even as confused as i was at the end of the movie i knew this was the best thing ever. and the more i read about it the more that thought solidified. I Love You David

  • Parting Glances

    Parting Glances

after like 10 mins i already knew i loved this grainy little movie from 1986 to bits and i started asking myself why and i thought it was because it has steve buscemi in it but thats not it. and thats when i realised that its because it reminds me SO much of the living end (1992) dir. gregg araki and god do i wish all movies were like this still

  • X

hmm this was one of my most anticipated movies of the year and i did have fun but it felt a little lacklustre? like its 2 hours long but most of the action happens so quickly and in such a short window of time that it feels a bit underwhelming :/ mia goth is a star though and i think shes the future of cinema and i am in love with her peace and love on planet earth

  • Taxi Driver

    Taxi Driver

i could say something smart about this but i feel like it’s all been said so i’ll just say he’s just like me <3 (minus the murderous tendencies). also why can’t all movies look like this. i miss the grain and i miss the hairy sexy 70s men

  • Jane Eyre

    Jane Eyre

mia wasikowska is the spokesperson for all the weird girls of the world and i love her so much. everything about this is so perfect my chest hurt at every word that came out of mr rochester’s mouth… cary fukunaga is a genius

  • And Then We Danced

    And Then We Danced

i think i have found hope in cinema again

  • Scream

yeah i’m gonna be mean about this one i’m sorry. if you know me you know that the original scream is my favourite movie of all time and overall this is my favourite franchise, so i felt pretty insulted by this movie, which is funny considering how much it pats itself in the back for how smart and meta it is (and how much the fans deserve respect, which... yeah). they had the gull to make fun of the last…

  • Vertigo

broooo during the first half i was like omg this is boring why are people raving about this… and then i got to the second part... love how much hitchcock loves seeing jimmy stewart in anguish

  • Licorice Pizza

    Licorice Pizza

looove how incredibly different the reviews from my friends (yes thats you guys) are, and honestly i get it because i have no idea how to feel about this... i feel like reducing it to its morals is a little silly because usually thats not what movies are about, but also the age gap IS uncomfortable... i think i liked it but also i need to sit with it... alana haim is a legend though and i love cooper hoffman and cant wait to see what he does next
