this film is so strange
it seems to be about La Motta and his career and relationship’s downward spiral
La Motta is a vile, abusive animal, someone you don’t want to be in the same room as
but when the credits rolled, i felt deeply…
saddened.
while i do not condone his actions (as a matter of fact i despise them wholeheartedly), witnessing his vulnerability (albeit brief vulnerability) is near heartbreaking. this is evident in the scenes where he loses…
wth am i supposed to say about this
it’s beautiful, mind-boggling, touching
it was a little hard to wrap my head around it but that made the overall aura very dream-like. i found my head slowly tilting because i was too busy focusing on one of the most interesting films ive ever seen
the shots are gorgeous, the writing is amazing as usual, like again theres not much i can say that hasnt been said already or cant be said without writing a 9 page essay that can be dummed down to something someones already said or something really disorganized
i absolutely love this
