Austin Lord’s review published on Letterboxd:
Going into this, I knew it was going to be a self-aware, sort of meta take on the slasher genre. What I didn’t know was how hilarious it would actually be. The jokes all land pretty well regardless of how familiar you are with the genre, because who isn’t aware of the horror tropes?
The characters are all very interesting and funny in their own ways while still being caricatures of themselves. With a lot of quirky characters like this, I had a fun time, plus it keeps you guessing who the killer is the whole time. This is an excellent horror film that deconstructs the genre while still having enough to stand on its own, never falling too much into the campiness or comedy aspects. It sort of fell apart towards the end, but it was still enjoyable the whole time.
