This is murder mystery done right. I think it lacks some of the charm and humor from the first film, but the way the events play out is still very great. The first half of this felt very slow and it was like nothing was happening, but once the story starts to unravel it starts to make sense. A lot of set up went into this and the payoff was worth it. It’s also really interesting that this is a murder mystery, though I never feel like I am trying to figure it out for myself. There isn’t enough information given from the beginning to solve it on your own, but the story still unravels in a satisfying way that feels smart and extremely well written.
