OMG, this was awesome, David Robert Michell is a master of filmmaking. I don't know why but his films work with me so well. I watched It Follows and it is one of the greatest horror films I have ever seen. Then watched Under the Silver Lake and loved it even more. I don't know why but it felt like a Paul Thomas Anderson Film with the touches of Jude Apatow. Cooper Raiff is an incredible talent with his writing, directing and un- fucking-believable charm. I loved it that he wasn't the nice guy after all. The depth of both his character and Dakota Jonhson's were great. Also, this is one of the most Sundance type of film ever and I mean it in a good way. The ending went a little too long I think and became a little too ordinary/cliche.
Really looking forward to his next projects.
