ridley scott is making nearly three hour disaster soup movies again, praise the lord above ! i love how sleepy and totally BORING this is -- no matter how hard gaga and leto strain to chew the set, scott's iron will puts an appropriately icy and impenetrable wall around these messy messy people and their messy messy feelings. abstracts the emotionality into the same neutral fabric of a gucci handbag. any movie that drags people into the theater and forces them to contemplate on something as antistylish as fiscal share debates is a perverted success by my measure. paradiso!
