I love Scream, it was probably my first real film obsession and it’s been far too long since I’ve watched this. The humor in Scream was so fresh and appealing at the time and it’s still 26 years later a cleverly written film. Neve Campbell was the perfect choice to lead this series, I couldn’t imagine what this series would’ve been without her. But the main reason this film is so great is Wes Craven. Nobody could build a scene like he did, nobody did it better than him.
