Adam Hursey’s review published on Letterboxd:
Hmmm. I remember liking this much more when I was younger. After rediscovering Part 2 and really enjoying that one much more, this installment is almost disappointing in its return to the traditional plot.
I don't remember Heather Langenkamp being such a less than stellar actress, but it really felt like she was sleepwalking (pun intended) through this role. And I don't remember the nun playing such a major role.
But there are plenty of iconic scenes here, mainly in the dream sequences ("Let's get high" is still a highlight). I would have liked to have seen more in the dream world with the characters fighting back with their dream powers.
I do like this film more than it may seem based on this review. But I would not consider it my favorite sequel any longer.
